This Sunday's Food and Volunteers

Hello Crew Families,

It was fun seeing so many families come out in the cold and snow to cheer on our rowers.  We can look forward to a completely different experience this coming Sunday with SUN in the forecast and temperatures in the 70's!

This Sunday we need volunteers to help direct boat traffic at the regatta. These regattas run because participating schools contribute volunteers to help with the various functions, and this weekend is Shipley's turn. No rowing knowledge is needed to volunteer.  Directing boat traffic at the City Dock is a great way for parents new to crew to see the sport from a different perspective.  Please contact Chris Leavy if you are interested at cjleavy@yahoo.com.

Our food theme this weekend will be barbecue and the food committee will be offering barbecued chicken and pulled pork in addition to the usual tent fare.  Please check out RegattaCentral for your rower's race time(Thursday) and sign up according to the time you will be dropping off your child to the boathouse.  This week the girls will be rowing in the morning and the boys in the afternoon.  The sign-up sheet is posted at the top of the Blog.

We are truly looking forward to enjoying a lovely day in the sun with friends and family under the Shipley tent.
