Fall Crew and Pre-Season Info

Shipley Fall Crew 2016

Welcome Back Shipley Rowers!
Season Info on the Crew Blog at: http://shipleycrew.blogspot.com/

Who is eligible:  All returning rowers and any 9th through 12th grader with prior rowing experience.

Pre-Season

We will be conducting “two-a-day” practices from Thursday, August 25th to Thursday, September 1st, with Saturday and Sunday off.  School will be closed for Labor Day weekend from 9/2 through 9/5.  We may have one practice on the 6th, but we will have to see what school obligations the rowers have on that day.  Classes start Wednesday the 7th

Transportation

Coach Charlie Biddle and I will drive two vans to and from the river during pre-season.  Vans will depart from the Shipley gym circle at 8 AM.  The first practice will run from 8:30 AM to 11 AM.  We will then have a two-hour lunch break.  Rowers are welcome to bring their own lunch.  We can also take the vans to go to Wawa or some other lunch place. The second practice will run from 1 PM to 3:30 PM and we will aim to be back at Shipley around 4 PM.  Any rowers who can get themselves to and from the river are encouraged to, to ensure that we have enough room in the vans.
