Parent Information

Dear Parents:

Shipley enjoyed much success at St. Andrews yesterday with all of the boats placing in the top 3, and most of the boats crossing the finish line in 1st place. Congratulations to the rowers!

Thank you so much to Anne Smith for the beautiful spread...the food was delicious! Many, many thanks to our trailer drivers, David and Lisa Semerjian...Mary Lou Sterge for the pasta salad...Ann and Bob Davis for the sandwiches...and Cathy McAvoy for the absolutely scrumptious desserts. We couldn't do it without your help!

The boy's are currently racing in New Jersey today. Good luck to all! Thank you to Bernadette Butera for organizing the food, Beth Goodhart for the sandwiches and Lainie Brown for the pasta salad.

Looking ahead to next week, our final race before Nationals will take place on Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21st. Holly Tyson will be driving the trailer to the river on Thursday afternoon and will set up the tents with Elaine Lisle.

Because we have a limited number of parking passes, we are planning on packing up the Shipley van with all perishable food/ice on Friday morning. (more details to follow).

The volunteers for the Stotesbury regatta are:

Jim & Alix Markee: Shipley van drivers
Valerie Carroll: Food Captain
Song Li: Lunch (sandwiches for tent/boathouse)
Lainie Brown: Fruit salad
Laurie Henry: Fruit Salad
Cathy McAvoy: Caesar salad
Mary Lou Sterge: Pasta salad
Lisa Semerjian: Cookies
Dee Morrison: Brownies
Wycoff: Chicken
Tyson: Smoked salmon platter

We will wait until the results of Friday's races to determine how many of the volunteers and how much food we need to purchase for Saturday. Scheduled to volunteer are:

Lawrence
Goldstein
Li
Markee

Have a great weekend!
