3 Important Things

1) Tomorrow I asked to have a few rowers go to the boathouse with me to take delivery of two new boats. There is no crew practice as some people mistakenly took it.  I only need 8 people, so if you feel like joining us and have no other conflicts with school, talk to your captains and see if they need you. I will drive a van, leaving from the gym circle at 2:30 PM.  This is totally voluntary.

2) This Saturday, practice times are normal.  We encourage all novices to join us, and if you know of anyone else (not necessarily just 9th graders) who might be interested in rowing, have them join us as well.  We will be practicing in the fitness room at Shipley.  The boys will be from 9 to 11 and the girls will be from 10 to 12.  Just dress as you normally would to work out, and make sure you bring your running shoes.

3) Our mandatory swim test will take place next Thursday after school.  Make sure you mark this on your calendars.  We will meet in the White Blazer Lounge in the gym at 3:20 PM.  We will walk over to Bryn Mawr College together as a team after taking attendance.  For the novices, the swim test consists of swimming one lap in full sweat clothes, one lap in just your bathing suit and treading water for ten minutes in just your bathing suit.  Everyone should be sure to bring a bathing suit, towel, sweat pants, sweatshirt and a plastic bad to put your wet clothes into after we are done.  Obviously  make sure you have warm clothes to wear to and from the pool.  We should be done by around 4:15 if not sooner.

Thanks!
