A Letter From The Tent Food Coordinators


Dear Crew Friends,

As the team prepares for the spring break trip to Miami, we are preparing for another season of weekends spent on the river. 

Each race day, we gather at the Shipley Crew tent to cheer on the rowers, enjoying a wonderful array of food and a great group of people.

As in the past few years, the Food Committee
will provide the majority of the food and beverages we serve.  We are asking each family to contribute $75.00 for the season (reduced from $100 in previous years), to
cover the cost of the main entrees, beverages, paper goods and other tent supplies, which we will purchase and manage each week. Last year our entrees included burgers (veggie and beef), hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches and sausages. As a reference for new families, we cooked, on average, 5 dozen burgers and 4-5 packs of hotdogs per race!

We will also use SignUpGenius to ask people to sign up on weekly basis for salads and sides, fruit, snacks, etc.  It all went very smoothly last year and we enjoyed some terrific food.
