Cancelled Regatta

School started a week later than usual and the King's Head Regatta was moved forward by a week due to the Pope's visit.  Therefore, we have missed out on two weeks worth of practice.  Jackie and I have discussed it, and we don't feel that the rowers are ready to race yet due to the condition that they are in at this point.  Therefore, we will not be racing at the King's Head Regatta.  We need the time to get everyone better prepared to race and they need the additional time to get in better shape.  If everyone had returned in better condition, then it wouldn't be an issue, but the added practices we will gain by not racing will be of more benefit to them.  I hope everyone understands that we are doing what we feel is best for the athletes.  Thanks!
